✗ alexnder cavalier. spent all his life pampered in luxury and more, he never really learnt the 'hardships' of life. everything has always been handed to him on a silver platter- everything but, approval, affection and well, love in general. yeah yeah, typical rich kid problems.
but his life was a little different. the cavalier family, however affluent was always brimming with drama and the most famous was the internal feud. alex turned out to be collateral damage in this feud, moving from house to house and never really was close to any of his family with the exception of his younger sister. this moving didn't really allow him to open himself to anyone either. thus, he's almost always cold, aloof and mysterious.

✗ Caroline was well, lets start from the beginning. Caroline has been home-schooled since she was born until she was 14 years old and has never really told anyone why. She would sit at home and do pretty much whatever she wanted which happened to be anything to do with history and literature. Thus, she became insanely good at the subjects and by the time she did go to actual school, many considered her either a show off or a genius and pretty much hated her for it. She would do whatever she liked inside and never was allowed to step outside the walls of her home and thus, books became her companions. Rather than having friends, she had books and that created her world- she escaped into her own little fairytale. That's why, she's almost always in the library, alone off course and is really quite naive.
You see, she's never really had any 'friends' and as much as her parents tried to be there for her, they were constantly working. Thus, she grew up utterly alone, unaware of the social norms of high school. People have always ignored her in school no matter what she does and now she's just used to it, believing that it is the way the world runs. This was all fine until, her already fragile personality suffered another blow but that's a secret. ;)
So yes, even though she's quite affluent and actually a wonderfully sweet person, she has never been noticed. She's come here for that- to get noticed and something entirely different.

✗- Caroline has spent most of her childhood locked up at home. People would call her mother 'cruel' but its better than being locked away in a hospital. The reason Caroline spent so much time at home is because she used to be severely anemic. she still is mostly but its improved. however, if she doesn't have something to eat every two hours, she'll become unconscious and the reason she hasn't told- she doesn't want other people to worry and neither does she want the negative attention.
- and number two. spending so much time at home, she was allowed to explore the large empty house. and on one of her explorations, she found a paternity test. her 'father' isn't her biological one. questions begin to flow through her head- does he know of her existence, did he purposely reject her? and that's why she's also here. she knows he's french and his family owns a few vineyards in Bordeaux, France and owns quite a large wine shop in Paris and this is the reason she wants to go.

вισgяαρну; alex's life has been something he's always hated. he was born to two shallow minded and seriously stupid parents who simply got into scandal after scandal, not caring about their son's life one bit, much like the rest of his family whom he also hates. he was spoilt in luxury and lavish gifts but was never taken seriously by anyone but his grandmother who saw his true potential as the next heir to the vanderbilt throne.
since the 19th century, the vanderbilts had ruled over not only new york but, was also quite dominant in international society, presiding over the world with an iron fist. that's why, he was sent to one of the most lavish boarding schools- le rosey, at a very young age.
one summer however, he was asked to met his mother's side of the family- the prestigious french 'astor' family and was staying in their austrian holiday home along with a few family members whom he also did not like. in a tea party, he was introduced to his first friend- caroline andryine-cavalier and the two children instantly clicked. they would go everywhere together, play and just have lots of fun. for the both of them, this was a entirely new sensation which they had cherished deeply. when the summer was over, he reluctantly returned to le rosey and found out that his grandmother had fallen gravely ill. leaving the school and moving to new york to take care of her, he watched her return back to life as he was enrolled in a prestegious american boarding school. initially it was alright- he had established himself as the leader and things were alright for his 7 year old self. however, then, he heard about people taking advantage of caroline's naive nature. angry and annoyed, he literally exiled the people involved along with their families to dark corners of the world, never allowing them to contact the girl again, causing her to believe that he was jealous of this. not wanting to hurt her, he allowed her to believe that, severing their friendship as he continued in the same american boarding school becoming more and more dominant.
this year however, he's moved back to le rosey. it is after all the best and if he wants to be a cardiac surgeon, there is nothing better. watch out people because he's going to take the entire school by storm.

ρєяѕσηαℓιту; Alex is quite a peculiar person. He's not what you'd call a 'bad boy' and neither is he particularly good either. He's basically dangerously ignorant. He really couldn't care less what happens to the world if it doesn't concern him. This is the first layer in his ice-cold exterior.
The second is the dark aura constantly shrouding him. You see, even if you try to ignore it, you can't. Its just too dominating and way to eerie.
The last and final piece is his own calculating mind. It is something he inherited from the founder of this royal New York dynasty- Cornelius Vanderbilt himself. It is a known fact now that Alex as well is exceedingly calculating, dangerously scheming and ambitious with no limits- a true reflection of his dear grandfather. However, despite all of this, his cold exterior does safe-guard his rather surprising good nature underneath.
Once you melt the ice, you see a prince and unfortunately, not many have lived to tell the tale. That's all you're going to know so far and let me tell you this /no one/ knows the real Alexander Vanderbilt so far. that is except for a /few/ close friends off course.

Its one of her best assets and people constantly die over that wonderful shade. They're absolutely mesmerizing and people often get lost in their innocence. They portray her innocence and her impatience with the world in one glance- a true window into her soul. Her long, thick black eyelashes only accentuate these unique irises by framing her eyes perfectly and lets not forget her perfectly arched chocolate brown eyebrow.
тнє ℓιρѕ; Ever sen cupid's bows? Those are the shape of Caroline's lips. Constantly hydrated, they have a brilliant color of deep rose red and look absolutely beautiful as if they have been painted by some red velvet. No need for any lipstick here.

Its one of the most beautiful faces you will ever see and it is beyond words when you see her million-dollar smile, although not many people get the chance to see such a mesmerizing sight.

Yes, it is an amazing gift to have. It never frizzes and its always 100% dandruff free. She hardly uses any chemical product and refrains from over styling it as well. She just doesn't require any of that.

✧ personality : she's as enigmatic as her life but then again, that's why you can never truly ignore her. you are constantly drawn to her, like a moth is to light. she's cold, cruel and simply catastrophic in her anger. she's ambitious, dominating and some how manages to seem enchanting. She's graceful, elegant, poise and totally compelling as you think of a fairytale princess when you see her. yeah this sounds like you know her. /not/. yes, she's all of that but more.
the first time you see her, you're going to think she's a stuck up little princess, capable of nothing else but showing her face in society. you're going to think she's a bit dimwitted and puts on a cold front to conceal that. then, you're going to talk to her. if she thinks you're worth getting to know, she'll speak but, her voice will be emotionless- as void of emotion as her face. you're going to be /begging/ for a sign of emotion on her face or in her voice, even if its pure disgust because before you even know it, she's already got you hooked. she's a master at concealing her emotions.
she's really a very patient person in the sense, she doesn't loose control of her anger. to her image is /everything/ and that idea comes from her rather strict background. if you do manage to annoy her, she really won't show it. instead, she'll simply lean back, smirking as she mocks you to tears. she will tear you apart mercilessly, layer by layer and when she's done, she'll reduce you to a pathetic pile of emotional mess. she is a sadist that way and this is when you annoy her. anger her and you'll be erased off the surface of the earth faster than you can even imagine. going up against her is truly social suicide.
if you still are of any form of interest to her, she might just ask you to spend more time with her in her own cold signature but, if she doesn't, she's going to ignore your very existence. she really couldn't care less about what the world thinks of her, its what she thinks of herself that matters and what you couldn't possibly know is that she is unimaginably hard on herself, accepting nothing short of pure perfection.
this is her cold exterior- her armor of ice. why she wears this you ask? to protect her naive sensitive interior. she's in reality a fun loving girl, naive and shockingly innocent, in love with the idea of love itself. she's created her own world of magic and wonder ever since she began to read the classics at the young age of 7.
having been deprived of 'friends' she values them, holding them close to her heart and is fiercely loyal to them. she really will do anything to protect the ones that she truly loves and that's why, she doesn't really open up to many people. Caroline isn't a fool. She maybe ignorant and oblivious but, she knows how the world works.
Apart from that, she's quite a intelligent and creative person. She learns new things quite easily which makes people believe that she's some kind of genius when in reality, she works incredibly hard to prove to herself that she is not just some little pretty face.
She's also a really patient person and surprisingly, is actually quite shy. Caroline /hates/ to be in the center of attention and is still quite insecure about how to behave at times. But, all of this is hidden behind her armor of frozen steel and that is why people truly believe that she personifies perfection.

- don't get me wrong, she is a good girl but she's no angel.after all, she did spend 9 years of her life, literally imprisoned. now that she's free, she's trying it all.. within limits that is. one of those limits happen to be drag racing on the streets of Paris. who would have thought?
